Scrapbooking

For the last two months or so I've been working on William's scrapbook. We didn't have a second car for those months and I spent so many days at home. It was time to do something other than sit around! I thought maybe you would like to see me write about something other than my baby. :) It is only our pregnancy with William so far. I'm about to start scrapbooking William's first week. So here you go! I hope you enjoy.

5 Months

My Big Little Man,

I am so proud of you. Your daddy and I look at you all the time and marvel at how much you have grown. You are such a big boy. Just this last week you started rolling over. I have only seen you do it once, but I am always coming back into the room to find you in a position that I didn't put you in. You also push yourself up so high now when you are on your tummy. It almost looks like you are doing push ups. Last night Daddy had you pushing yourself up and reaching up for a toy at the same time. It was pretty impressive. I think that you might turn out to be left-handed. You are very adept at reaching for things with your left hand, while your right hand is a bit more sloppy. You seriously reach for everything in sight. I'm starting to wonder if it is time to teach you the word, "No." I'm not sure you will understand it yet, but I will teach you when I think you can understand the concept of consequences.

Doing Push Ups
Special Moment: I was taking pics of Will when he rolled over. I had never seen him do it before this! :)

You aren't going to like me teaching you, "No." It will be hard. But you will learn eventually that you can't have everything you want. And many things are dangerous for you to have! Mommy has a hard time hearing the word, "No" too. I don't like it and it makes me angry and hurt. But God gives us boundaries and he puts up hedges so we can't hurt or destroy ourselves.

Thank you for all of your sweet kisses. You make my face all wet with your slobber, but I love them. You are a sweet boy and I love you so much!

A Couple Firsts

In just this last week I have caught William doing more "first things" ... Like, he just discovered his feet! And now he can play with a toy so much longer. Instead of dropping a toy and forgetting about it when it is out of sight, he now follows a toy when it drops and reaches for it. Another thing he does now is reaching with two hands. I love seeing his focus when he wants something. AND ... Since he has been sitting up so well, I tried putting him in a grocery cart. Look how good he is doing it!!! Yay! I love his new discoveries. ;)

New Favorite Toy and High Chairs

So William has a new favorite toy, but it doesn't give me the Mom of the Year Award. He loves, loves, loves  crinkly bags. He loves grocery bags, packages, ziplock bags ... you get the idea. I know that he loves these bags because he literally screams at me when I take them away. The first time it happened I was so surprised by how he is already insisting on having his own way. So I give William a small chip bag that he cant open or pop. There isn't anyway he can choke on it cause he can't fit it all in his mouth. But, gosh, he can play with this thing for 30 minutes straight!

It dropped!

How does that finger taste?

Do I have something stuck in my teeth?

Where's the baby?

Will looked so cute all hidden on the couch. I just had to take some pics of him. :)
Can you find the baby?

Well, Hello!!!

Look at those cute eyes! :)

Playmates

The Benson girls came over the other day and the two babies had a great time playing together. Isaac and I were amazed at how much Nora can roll around. Maybe one day William will figure it out. Until then ... the two young'uns spent lots of tummy time together. :)

All eyes on the movie playing behind me :)
