Bella and William ... Again

Rachel and William

Rachel, here are the photos from the other night. I can email any one of them to you if you want. These were probably the best of what I took, but I'd love to get better ones when you come visit me. ;)

For those of you who read every post. Rachel is William's second mom. She helped me in labor and I will forever be grateful to her ... But more importantly, that act knit her to my family like nothing else could. As far as I am concerned William is partially hers and she is partially his. We love you, Rachel!

Moving and crawling

8 Months

8 Months

My Darling William,

You. Are. Everywhere! One week you were taking your first crawling step and now you are all but speed crawling. Bella still has you beat. ;) But it won't take you more than a month to catch up. Just this week you have started pulling up on things. You haven't figured out that you have to hold on to the object so you can stay up, but I'm very impressed with how strong your arms are becoming. I really have to tug to pull things from you. Lol. Also your first four top teeth are coming in. Yes, four! All at once! I feel bad for you, although you don't complain too much.

Along with your mobility has come fall after fall, after pinching fingers, after more falling. The other day you hit your new teeth so hard that you made your mouth bleed. And today as you pinched your finger in a drawer, I thought about how much more I am going to have to watch you fall and hurt yourself. I know that all this pain is necessary for you to learn about consequences and needing to be careful in life. It also occurred to me today that this is the reason that Jesus came. He came not just to save us from our sins, but also to undo all our hurt and pain. This is why you need Jesus, little man! This life is filled with lots and lots of owies. They will help you learn hard lessons, but they are also to point us to Jesus and help us long for the day when everything will be fixed and repaired. No more owies and no more death. Won't that be wonderful? Don't worry, I'll keep reminding you when you fall again tomorrow and next week and next year. Jesus loves you so much and he gave you a momma who will kiss you when you get hurt. I love you sweet boy. Don't stop growing.

Your mom

Video of William Crawling

Getting Into Things

Our little man is pretty mobile these days and is finding things all over the house to explore. I'm actually considering putting his toys away since he doesn't have much interest in them. Maybe I'll take them back out in a few weeks and he can rediscover them. But we have gotten a few cute pics of him in odd places. Enjoy!

Day at the Beach!

I thought we should take William to the beach before we move away. It has been so warm this week, so we decided to pack up and go! Unfortunately, it was on a day that William had gotten only 1 nap and so he was Mr. Cranky Pants. He hated the water ... and didn't much like the sand either. I didn't get any pictures of him smiling, but AT LEAST he has been to the beach now, right??? :)

You could tell he didn't like the sand on his hands.

Yuck, Mommy! What is this stuff?

William has never drank so much water as he did this day, both at the beach and later that night. That boy was THIRSTY!

Peekaboo!!!

Do you see my two little chompers (teeth)???

Sitting Up

I can't believe I caught this on camera. This is only the second time I've caught William sitting up from laying down all on his own. The first time I didn't even see it. I was two feet away and missed it! Ah! Oh well ... This was taken the next day. :)

Like Mother, Like Son

Apparently, William likes horses as much as I do :)

Easter Sunday

Family Photo

Cute Little Kiddos :)

After church, we drove 2 hours to Amy's and my grandparents house. This was the first time Memere and Pepere have met William. It was such a great treat and wonderful food made by all!

I'm sorry that I didn't get more pictures of my cousins and aunts holding him. :(

Cheerios

I can't tell you how many times Bella stole William's Cheerios. :)

He isn't aggressive enough to protect them or he doesn't notice her taking them.

La-De-Dah!

Really? She's taking them away again? Really?

Ok. Thats it! I've had it!
