41 weeks, 9 hours of labor and 30 minutes of pushing later.
I don't know what to write about. Labor was very hard, pushing was even worse. William had his umbilical cord wrapped around his neck twice and came out all blue, but he recovered quickly. I'm not sure I ever want to do that again. Isaac and Rachel cried. All I could think of was ... Will the pain stop now? I didn't even care that they placed William on my chest. "He is huge" was the first thing that came out of my mouth. I couldn't believe that such a big baby could be in my belly. He was 8lbs. 1.6 oz. and 21 inches long.
I didn't bond with him right away. But I have more than made up for that now. He is perfect and it is hard for m e to put him down. Isaac and I almost fight over him. We both look for opportunities to take him back. Isaac begs to change his diapers and burp him for me ... And while he is changing him and William starts crying ... I am begging to nurse him. We laugh at ourselves and then we both just stare at him for hours.
Last night we were both so in love with him that we took tons of pictures and videos and talked to him til he fell asleep. Here are some of the pictures we took.
